With Father’s Day upon us how do you plan on celebrating the occasion? There are no two people that have had the same experience with their fathers even when coming from the same family, as well as there is no right or wrong way to celebrate this occasion. Memories of our upbringing and memories of our father are as diverse as we are as individuals. Many of you have very positive memories while others may have less than positive memories and thoughts of their fathers while even others may not even know their biological father. During this Father’s Day regardless of whichever of these categories that you find yourself relating to, remember that we all have the same father. We all have a father that will never disappoint us, never let us down, never hurt our feelings, never lie to us and never be anything other than a father that shows unconditional love. Yes, our true father Jesus Christ!
However you plan on celebrating this year please make our Heavenly Father the centerpiece of your celebration. Our prayer for you during this special month is summed up in the following verse of scripture;
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
2 Corinthians 13:14
