This is one of the most busy times of the year with the end of the school year, graduations, family vacations, planting gardens and yard work. Wedding bells are ringing for many. We pray God’s blessing on all these new marriages. Then there is Father’s Day. Whether it’s Mother’s Day or Father’s day, they are always special. A time to thank God for your avenue of arriving into this world. Remember God allowed you to come to this earth through the union of your parents. In having a reverence of God for your life there will always be things to be thankful for. I suppose your parents were not perfect and that is the part passed on to you. Our earthly father may have failed but our heavenly father will never leave or forsake us. Give honor where honor is due. Do something thoughtful for or in memory of your dad. If you need to forgive him please do so, choose to do it today. Let go of anger, resentment, misunderstandings, disappointments and open the window of your soul and release it all. You will have a new peace like never before. This does not mean you okay the wrongs but since you can’t change any of it just let it go. Let’s praise God for His goodness to us. We are special to Him.
